Texte und Bilder aus Humanismus und Renaissance. Die Oberfläche ist italienisch und englisch. BIVIO begann 2002 als gemeinsames Projekt des Centro di ricerche informatiche per le discipline umanistiche (Signum), Universität Pisa, und des Istituto Nazionale di Studi sul Rinascimento (INSR), Uni Florenz; inzwischen ist auch das Department of History der Universität Harvard beteiligt. Das Projekt bietet vielfältige Suchmöglichkeiten in den im Volltext erfassten Texten, der Bestand wird regelmäßig erweitert. Die Tiefenerschließung erlaubt auch das gezielte Blättern auf der Suche nach Abbildungen
