Important DRUGDEX Alert
Thomson Healthcare discovered that the Esmolol Drug Evaluation contains an incorrect dosing information in the current version (v132) of the DRUGDEX System.
In the Therapeutic Use section (section 4.5.A.15) of the monograph detailing use of Esmolol for Ventricular Arrhythmias , all instances of milligrams in the text should be read micrograms. The information will be corrected in v133, shipping in late May/early June 2007.
The dose was cited as milligrams when it was published in Circulation. Thomson Healthcare has contacted the editor of Circulation to request that an errata is published by the journal.
