DBIS - Corpus de la Première Littérature Francophone de l'Afrique Noire

Full text collection for the oral and written French literature south of the Sahara from the end of the 18th century to 1960. The body comprises around 11,000 texts of all genera (including novels, stories, poems, songs, legends), including numerous rare and difficult to access materials, and covers around 20 countries and over 100 ethnic groups. In addition to the actual texts, the database also includes the critical apparatus as well as notes and comments from the underlying reference editions.
