Die Datenbank verfügt über eine deutsch- und englischsprachige Bedienungsoberfläche.
ecoi.net wird von ACCORD, dem Austrian Centre for Country of Origin and Asylum Research and Documentation, koordiniert. ACCORD ist eine Abteilung des Östereichischen Roten Kreuzes mit Sitz in Wien.
